The specialists of our company Constanta Vaga LLC developed and implemented an automatic dosing system based on existing hopper scales. The system must provide automatic control of the pump for filling the weighing hopper and for loading a given dose from the weighing hopper. Also, the control system must provide accounting of raw materials shipped from the bunker.

Tanks No. 1 and No. 2 are installed on a common frame. Four force-measuring sensors are attached to the bottom of the frame. The sensors are connected by a communication cable to a weighing terminal installed near the scales. The weighing terminal measures the weight of raw materials in containers No. 1 and No. 2.

To ensure the supply of raw materials into containers and pumping them out, the scales are equipped with a pipeline system and manual ball valves. Raw materials are pumped using a pump with the following parameters:

• engine power 2.2 kW;
• 1000 rpm;
• power supply 3 phase 380 V.

AUTOMATION RESULT:

• The hoppers are placed on strain gauges;
• A control cabinet has been developed based on a weight controller KV4, produced by Constanta Vaga;
• The work of unloading raw materials into the workshop in a closed cycle with saving all weighing results has been implemented;
• The transfer of dosing results via the RS232 serial port to the operator’s personal computer with saving to the database has been implemented.
