The specialists of our company Constanta Vaga LLC developed and implemented an automation system for the foam concrete packaging line. The purpose of the development was the need to increase the speed of preparation of finished products for transportation, as well as to reduce the number of service personnel.
Figure 1 shows the nodes of the foam concrete packaging line, where:
1. Conveyor No. 1 – chain conveyor, supply of foam concrete blocks
2. Conveyor No. 2 – chain conveyor, spreading of foam concrete blocks
3. Conveyor No. 3 – sliding chain conveyor
4. Conveyor No. 4 – chain conveyor for transporting pallets to the strapping machine.
5.Automatic strapping machine.
6. Conveyor No. 5 – chain conveyor, loading of foam concrete blocks
After sorting, six foam concrete blocks tightly spaced together are installed on chain conveyor No. 1. The blocks are installed on plywood pads. With the help of chain conveyors No. 1 and No. 2, the blocks are moved apart and fed in pairs to the shifting conveyor No. 3. An array is formed from two blocks on the shear conveyor.
From the shear conveyor, a worker in the packaging workshop uses a manipulator to transfer the formed array of foam concrete blocks onto a wooden pallet mounted on chain conveyor No. 4. This conveyor feeds the pallet with an array of blocks to an automatic strapping machine for double-sided strapping. After strapping with tape, the pallet is pushed from the rotary conveyor onto chain conveyor No. 5, designed to transport blocks from the strapping machine for loading.
For convenience, the foam concrete packaging line control system has two modes: automatic and manual.
To ensure reliability and stability of operation, all control cabinets are equipped with only high-quality components. Particular attention is paid to the safety of the line. In the event of an accident or when switching to automatic mode, a light and sound alarm is provided.
