The Flintec SB14 strain gauge sensor of the “cantilever shear beam” type is one of the most popular designs.
The principle of operation is based on the conversion of shear strain along the principal stress areas of the elastic element into an electrical signal. Strain gauges, normalization and temperature compensation elements are connected using a Wheatstone bridge circuit.
Sensors are used as components in weighing (force measuring) and weight dosing systems, scales of III (medium) accuracy class according to GOST 29329 and RM MOZM No. 76.
