Implemented a project for dosing two components using a conveyor belt

The control system for a two-component continuous belt weigher (hereinafter referred to as CS) is designed to stabilize the ratio between the flows of bulk products entering technological devices (mixers, mills, continuous furnaces).

Based on the results of weight measurements, the control system automatically regulates the consumption of one of the materials in accordance with a given ratio. For this purpose, load cells are installed on conveyors. The flow rate per unit of time can be regulated by changing the speed of movement of the dosing conveyor or the amount of its loading with dosed material.

The control system consists of two controllers – a master and a slave. The master controller transmits the average performance measurement results via a serial link to the slave controller. The slave receives this data and generates a control signal (current or voltage) that maintains a given ratio of the performance of its conveyor and the master. The functional diagram of the control system is shown in pic. 1.
