Constanta Vaga presented an automatic extruder loading system

Constanta Vaga has developed and implemented a compact line for precise weighing and feeding raw materials into an extruder. The system combines a two-section storage bin (sand/chopped plastic), a horizontal weighing conveyor for batch formation, and an inclined conveyor for stable feeding. Pigment (carbon black) is dosed by a separate weighing unit directly above the extruder.

The automated control system provides a throughput of approximately 1 ton per shift (≈ 125 kg/h), with up to 13 10 kg batches per hour, with an accuracy of at least ±1%. Control is implemented through a Constanta Vaga cabinet on a KV-4 (IP54) controller, taking into account recipes, cycle counting, and accumulation of batch results.
